Jeannette Lofas founded the Stepfamily Foundation in 1975. It was the first organization in the world devoted solely to the problems and challenges encountered in step relationships. She has personally, or by telephone, counseled thousands and has trained over 10,000 helping professionals. Lofas is the recognized leader in the field of step relationships. She was the first to describe the stepfamily's specific dynamics. She has developed the Lofas Family Management Method. Research indicates her method results in an 84% success rate.
